Our Journey

Years ago we had a vision about a gracious place on Cape Cod – a center –  for all those who are on a journey.  A center to inspire, nurture and support the bodies, minds, spirits and hearts of all those who are journeying toward a more compassionate, peaceful and just world. And as synchronicity would have it in early 2013 we found an historic barn at 880 Main Street in Chatham. It was as if the space had been waiting for us. And here we are: Opening the doors and our hearts to you. So welcome in, all spiritual travelers, journeyers, seekers, game-changers.  Center for the Spiritual Journey is here, just for you. “Each day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.” — Basho © Loretta Domaszewski

Dawn is one of the Co-Founders of Center for the Spiritual Journey and serves as the Director of Operations. Dawn enjoys a passion for being on the journey these many years! She is a certified professional coach and consultant, and has spent over 20 years as a leader of a local non-profit, community activist, and volunteer. Dawn writes:

“My pilgrim heart is so grateful to be on this journey of life – such a gift! To experience life here on the Outer Cape is to see and know  the sacred in so many ways – the vastness of the ocean, the beauty of the seasons, being held in a loving circle of family and friends –  truly the sacred in the ordinary. Basho once said, “The Journey is our home”, and I try (again and again!) to practice this way of thinking and being. Center for the Spiritual Journey is another expression of this notion that it’s all about the journey. Pace e Bene ~ Peace and All Good

“I am a person whose yearning for God’s presence and activity in my life has set me on the most amazing journey. It is my joy to discover and experience more of the inner journey through contemplative prayer, reading, walking the Chatham Labyrinth in its quiet and beautiful natural setting, and being in companionship with others. Having been blessed by several pilgrimages to Iona, and also to Taize and Jerusalem, I would also add “soulful travel” to my joy list. We would like to welcome you home to Center for the Spiritual Journey and hope that this will be a place where you find the provisions you need for your spiritual journey.”

Danielle Tolley

Danielle, Co-Founder of Center for the Spiritual Journey, serves as the Curator and Executive Director.  She’s spent the past 10 years living and working in NYC as a writer/actor/producer.  During that time she also launched a production company dedicated to women in comedy, taught Adult ESL (English to Speakers of Other Languages), mentored teenage girls through media literacy/arts programs, and did lots and LOTS of yoga.  As a certified yoga instructor, she leads Center for the Spiritual Journey’s yoga classes.  Danielle writes:

“For as long as I can remember I’ve felt a longing for something I think all humans share in some way – a longing for space.  Space to hear ourselves, and to hear the divine; space to listen and to be heard;  and space to be still – allowing ourselves to rest so that we may be led.  It is in this space, that I am constantly (and gratefully) reminded that I am always exactly right where I need to be on this journey of life and humanity.  Namaste.”
